About the project

Meeting Point Plaza is an integrated retail, office and medical project on 3,000 m² in the heart of Hadayek Al-Ahram, owned and developed by West Development, which owns and develops it.

It is not simply a shopping mall: each floor is given over to one kind of activity — retail and a hypermarket on the ground floor, restaurants and cafés around the plaza, a gold and jewellery complex, a floor of clinics, and a floor of offices. That separation protects the experience for each kind of visitor.

Units start at 37 m², in sizes that suit a small business and an established brand alike.

Location

The project stands on the corner of Ahmose Gate Street and El-Daght El-Aali Street, directly opposite the Hadayek Al-Ahram Club and within the area’s cluster of malls.

It sits inside the Pyramids development zone, minutes from the new tourist promenade, the new Pyramids gate and the Grand Egyptian Museum — at the point where east and west Cairo meet.

The site connects to the modern road network: the Middle Ring Road, the Maadi and Shubra ring roads, the Alexandria Desert Road, the Fayoum Road and the Regional Ring Road, and it is close to the BRT station, the new metro station and the high-speed rail station.

On the project’s own figures, the location serves a surrounding population of more than a million people.

What the project holds

Medical complex — second floorThe first medical complex in Hadayek Al-Ahram: clinics, imaging centres, a laboratory and physiotherapy centres, from 37 m², each unit facing both the main streets and the plaza.
Offices — third floorOffice space for companies and practices from 37 m², in the area’s first office-led mall.

  • Dedicated security for the gold complex, opposite the new police station

Why Meeting Point

One activity per floorSeparating retail, dining, gold, clinics and offices vertically protects each kind of visit, and avoids the overlap that weakens malls let out at random.
The first medical complex in Hadayek Al-AhramA densely populated area with less organised medical provision than it needs — which is the gap the medical floor is aimed at.
A gold complex, the first of its kind in west CairoA specialised trade serving both the older and the newer districts of west Cairo, and hard to replicate because it needs its own location and security.
Inside the Pyramids development zoneThe Grand Egyptian Museum, the new tourist promenade and the new Pyramids gate are turning the area from residential into a tourist and commercial destination.
Units from 37 m²Sizes that suit an entrepreneur looking for a small footprint, and brands that need more room.

Our role

Expand Franchise holds the exclusive leasing mandate for Meeting Point: attracting brands, building the tenant mix, and negotiating and managing the leases.

An exclusive mandate means the tenant mix is run from one place — which is what protects a project from the random letting that lets similar trades stack up and undercut each other.

About the developer

West Development owns the project and is developing it. The company is based in Hadayek Al-Ahram, Giza — the same area the project stands in.

About Hadayek Al-Ahram

Hadayek Al-Ahram is one of the largest residential areas in west Cairo, sitting between the older districts such as Faisal and Al-Haram and the newer ones such as 6th of October and Hadayek October.

The area is going through a real change as the works around the Pyramids land — the Grand Egyptian Museum, the tourist promenade and the new Pyramids gate — moving it from a residential overspill to a tourist and commercial destination, and creating demand for organised retail and medical services that existing projects do not adequately meet.
